Noor Weekend? Dubai Visa for Diwali in 3 Quick, Safe Routes
Noor Weekend? Dubai Visa for Diwali in 3 Quick, Safe Routes
By the SKY PALACE TOURISM team, Al Mankhool, Dubai. Last checked: 15 October 2026.

Dubai visa for Diwali planning starts with one question: what is already in your passport? Most travellers need a tourist visa issued before they fly. However, some Indian passport holders can get a visa on arrival instead. Families staying longer also need a longer visa. Below are three real situations, so you can find yours and act this week.
Diwali falls on Sunday, 8 November 2026. Dubai's Festival of Lights runs from Monday, 2 November to Thursday, 12 November. That leaves about three weeks to sort the paperwork, which is enough if you start now.
What does Dubai have planned for Diwali 2026?
The city's tourism site lists the dates on Visit Dubai's Festival of Lights page. It also promises cultural shows, fireworks, shopping deals and prizes. However, as of 15 October it has not yet published a full venue-by-venue schedule.
One headline event is already set. FEW.ae's festival report says Noor: Festival of Lights runs at Souk Al Seef by Dubai Creek. Its dates are Friday, 6 to Sunday, 8 November. Community events are also planned in Al Furjan, Jumeirah Village Circle and Discovery Gardens.
Want to see BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi during the same trip? A UAE tourist visa covers all seven emirates, so one visa is enough for both cities.
Route 1: an Indian passport and no other visas
Picture a couple from Pune flying in on Friday, 6 November for the Noor weekend, then home on Tuesday. Neither of them holds a US, UK or EU visa. They need a UAE tourist visa before they board, and a 30-day single-entry visa covers the trip easily.
The rules that matter most here come from the ICP's published visa conditions. Your passport must be valid for at least six months. Also, you must enter the UAE within 60 days of the visa being issued. A visa issued this week would therefore still work for an early November arrival.
The trade-off is timing. A last-minute application often means paying for our express visa service. It also leaves no room to fix a rejected photo. Applying this week costs nothing extra and keeps that buffer.

Route 2: an Indian passport with a US, UK or EU visa
Gulf News reported in October 2025, citing ICP, that some Indians can get a visa on arrival. It applies if you hold a valid US visa or green card. A UK or EU visa or residence permit also counts. So do visas or residence permits from Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
That sounds like the easy option, and often it is. Still, the other visa must stay valid for your whole trip, and rules like this can change. Check the current rule on our visa requirements by nationality page before you rely on it.
So what do you give up? Arriving with nothing arranged means any doubt is settled at the airport desk, not before you leave home. Some traveller's prefer a visa in hand for that reason alone, even when they qualify on arrival.
Route 3: a family staying past Diwali
Now take a family of four from Kathmandu visiting relatives in Sharjah. They land on 2 November and want to stay until UAE National Day on 2 December. A 30-day visa is too tight for that plan, because it leaves no margin for a changed flight.
A 60-day visa gives them room. Each person needs their own visa, including the two children, but the applications can go in together. If they plan a side trip to Oman and back, they need multiple entry instead of single entry.
The longer visa costs more, and prices differ by nationality. For that reason we never quote a figure in a blog post. Instead, compare the options on our current visa fees page.
Which Dubai visa for Diwali route fits you?
This table puts the three routes side by side, so you can match your own passport to one row.
| Your situation | Likely route | What to do this week |
| Indian passport, no other visas | 30-day tourist visa, single entry | Check six months of passport validity, then apply |
| Indian passport with a valid US, UK or EU visa or residence | Visa on arrival may apply | Confirm the current rule for your nationality |
| Family staying with relatives until December | 60-day visa, multiple entry if leaving and returning | Gather a passport scan and photo for every person |
Traveller's from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal generally follow Route 1 or Route 3. The UAE government's tourist visa guide explains the next step. If you cannot get a visa on arrival, you apply through a licensed agent, airline or hotel.
What should you send with the application?
ICP lists a passport copy and a personal photo for every visa type. For tourism, it also lists a return ticket and a tour programme, for example your hotel booking. In addition, ICP requires valid health insurance within the UAE.

Our team reviews these before anything is submitted. Typical problems are blurred scans, photos with shadows, and a passport page cut off at the edge. Each one is easy to fix at home and slow to fix later.
A word of caution. On Monday, 12 October 2026, India's embassy in Abu Dhabi and its consulate in Dubai warned against agencies promising visas. Khaleej Times covered the advisory, which targeted work and residency visas for other countries. Even so, its main point applies here too: no agency can guarantee a visa.
That includes us. SKY PALACE TOURISM L.L.C is an independent visa support service in Al Mankhool, Dubai, not a government office. The UAE authorities decide every application. We check documents, track progress and refund you if a visa is declined.

Diwali visit questions we are hearing
Can I visit the BAPS Mandir in Abu Dhabi on a Dubai visa?
Yes. A UAE tourist visa is valid in all seven emirates, so you can travel from Dubai to Abu Dhabi freely.
What if my passport expires in May 2027?
Renew it before applying, to be safe. ICP asks for at least six months of validity, and a November arrival puts May 2027 right at the edge. A new passport also needs a new visa, so renew first.
Will the Noor fireworks dates change?
They might, because Visit Dubai has not released the full schedule yet. Check its Festival of Lights page again a few days before you fly.
Three things to do before the lights go on
First, check that your passport has six months of validity from your arrival day. Next, match yourself to one of the three routes above.
