Global Village opens its 31st season on Wednesday, 14 October 2026, and the outdoor season in Dubai is starting again. If you plan to come, sort your Dubai visit visa before you book anything else. This guide gives you seven easy checks, the key dates for October, and the steps to apply online.

We checked the official UAE sources today, 10 October 2026. The news pages of ICP and GDRFA Dubai show no new change to tourist visa rules this week. So the current rules still apply. You will find them below, with links to each source.

What is opening in Dubai this October

October is the month when Dubai moves back outdoors. The big family attractions reopen after the summer break, and the events calendar fills up. Here are the dates reported by Khaleej Times.

Attraction or eventDate in 2026
Dubai Parks and ResortsReopened on 7 October
Dubai Miracle Garden, Season 15Opened on 8 October
Dubai Comedy Festival9 to 18 October
Dubai Safari ParkReopens on Monday, 12 October
Global Village, Season 31Opens on Wednesday, 14 October at 6pm
Dubai Fashion Week22 to 26 October
Dubai Fitness Challenge31 October to 29 November

Global Village is the one most visitors ask about. According to the Khaleej Times guide to Season 31, the park will open every day of the week. From Monday to Thursday it runs from 4pm to midnight. On weekends it stays open until 1am. The season runs through May 2027.

That last point matters. You do not need to rush for opening night. You have about seven months to visit, so you can choose dates that suit your budget and your family. You can see the rest of the month in the Khaleej Times list of what is new in October.

7 Dubai visit visa checks before you book

Most visa problems start with a small mistake made early. Go through these seven checks in order. Each one takes a few minutes.

1. Check if your passport needs a visa in advance

The rules depend on your nationality. Some travellers get a visa on arrival. Many others must have a visa before they fly. The UAE government says a tourist visa is for people who are not eligible for a visa on arrival or visa-free entry. Find your country on our visa requirements by nationality page before you pay for flights.

2. Check your passport expiry date

The ICP visa issuance conditions ask for a passport that is valid for no less than six months. Look at the expiry date now. If it is close, renew your passport first. A new passport can take weeks in some countries.

3. Choose the right length of stay

We offer tourist visas of 30 days and 60 days. Each one comes as single entry or multiple entry. Pick the one that matches your real plan, not the shortest one. The next section helps you choose.

4. Time your application to your travel date

ICP says the holder must enter the UAE within 60 days from the date the entry permit is issued. So do not apply many months ahead. Apply when your travel dates are firm and they fall inside that window.

5. Keep your return ticket and health insurance ready

The ICP conditions list a return travel ticket and a valid health insurance policy for the UAE. Keep both on your phone and on paper. It is also wise to confirm your flight times with your airline before you leave home.

6. Prepare a clear passport copy and photo

ICP lists a passport and a personal photo as required documents. A blurry scan or a dark photo is a common reason for delay. Use good light, a plain background, and make sure all four corners of the passport page are visible. Our team reviews your documents before we submit them.

7. Know your last day in the UAE

Write down the day your stay ends. ICP lists an overstay fine of AED 50 for each day after the permitted stay expires, as of 10 October 2026. One extra week can cost more than a day out at the park for a whole family. If you think you may need more time, choose the longer visa at the start.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a Dubai visit visa to go to Global Village?

Global Village does not ask for a visa at the gate. But you need legal entry to the UAE to get there. If your nationality is not eligible for a visa on arrival or visa-free entry, you must have a visa before you fly.

Can I get a tourist visa from the UAE embassy in my country?

No. The UAE government tourist visa page says UAE embassies do not issue tourist visas. Tourist visas are arranged through UAE-based airlines, hotels and licensed travel agents. The same page advises you to check that an agent is genuine before you pay or send documents.

Can a child or teenager apply?

Yes, children can travel with their family. The UAE government page says females below the age of 18 are not eligible for a tourist visa unless they travel with their parents. Apply for the whole family together so the details match.

Can I stay longer if I love it?

ICP says a visit can be extended in some cases, and the total stay must not go over 120 days. An extension is not automatic. Ask before your stay ends, not after, so you avoid the daily fine.
