Dubai Fitness Challenge Visa: 4 Dates, Fast and Easy Plan

Two weeks from today, Sheikh Zayed Road closes to cars and fills with bicycles. The 10th Dubai Fitness Challenge runs from Saturday 31 October to Sunday 29 November 2026. If you plan to fly in for it, your Dubai Fitness Challenge visa is the first thing to sort out. This guide shows the four big dates, which visa length fits each plan, and when to apply.

The short answer: most visitors need a tourist visa before they fly. Apply soon, because an approved visa gives you time to enter, and November flights fill up early.

What is on, and when?

The challenge asks everyone in the city, visitors included, to do 30 minutes of activity a day for 30 days. Most of it is also free. There are also three free Fitness Villages and more than 23 community fitness hubs. That comes from Emirates 24|7's report on the 10th edition.

These are the four flagship days, as published by The National:

DateEventWhereGood to know

Sunday 1 NovemberDubai RideSheikh Zayed Road4 km family route or 12 km circuit
Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 NovemberDubai Stand-Up PaddleHattaFree paddleboard sessions
Sunday 22 NovemberDubai RunSheikh Zayed Road5 km or 10 km, start 6:30am, road reopens at 9am
Sunday 29 NovemberDubai YogaZabeel ParkSunset session to close the challenge

Three of the four fall on a Sunday. So a long weekend trip works well, but only if your visa covers the right days.

Your Dubai Fitness Challenge visa: which length fits?

Travellers ask us this every November. In fact, the answer depends on how many of those Sundays you want.

One event, one weekend

For the Ride or the Run alone, a 30-day tourist visa is usually enough. For example, a runner can land on Thursday 19 November and run on Sunday 22 November. That still leaves days to spare. Single entry is also fine if you will not leave the UAE during the trip.

The whole month

The challenge itself lasts exactly 30 days. That sounds like a perfect match for a 30-day visa. But it leaves no room for a late flight or a change of plan. So if you want both the first ride and the final yoga session, we usually suggest the 60-day visa.

Hopping to Oman or another country mid-trip?

Then choose multiple entry. Otherwise a single-entry visa ends when you leave, and you would need a new one to return. You can compare all four options on our visa fees page. Prices there load for your nationality.

Three visa rules that matter most for this trip

The federal immigration authority, ICP, lists its general visa conditions on its visa issuance page. We checked it on 17 October 2026. For a November sports trip, these three points matter most.

  1. Six months of passport validity. Your passport must be valid for at least six months. Check the date now, because renewing a passport takes far longer than a visa.
  2. A 60-day window to enter. Once issued, the visa must be used to enter within 60 days. As a result, applying in late October still covers every date in the table.
  3. Health insurance valid in the UAE. ICP lists this as a general condition. It also makes sense for a race day, so keep the policy document on your phone.

One more point is easy to forget. Overstaying is fined at AED 50 per day, according to the same ICP page. So plan your flight home inside your visa dates, not on the last possible day.

A countdown from today

This week (17 to 24 October)

First, check your passport expiry date. Then decide which events you want, because that decides the visa length. Next, check whether your nationality needs a visa at all on our visa requirements page.

Late October

Apply for the visa, then book flights and a hotel near your event. For the Ride and the Run, Downtown Dubai and the Sheikh Zayed Road area are closest to the start. Processing time varies, so see our processing times page before you book a tight date.

Arriving in a hurry?

If you only decide in the last days before your flight, we offer an express visa service. However, it cannot change the passport or insurance rules above.

Is the Dubai Run free for tourists?

Yes. The National reports that the Dubai Run is free and open to all ages. However, you must register first. Dubai Ride also needs pre-registration. Registration for the 10th edition opened on 1 October. So watch the official Dubai Fitness Challenge channels for Run and Ride slots.

The numbers explain why early planning helps. Dubai Run drew more than 307,000 runners in 2025, and Dubai Ride more than 40,000 cyclists. As a result, hotels near the route fill quickly on those weekends.

A warning worth five minutes this week

On 12 October, India's embassy in Abu Dhabi issued a warning with its Dubai consulate. It was about fake visa and job agencies. The National covered the advisory on 16 October. Its message applies to every traveller : never pay anyone who promises approval.

We agree. UAE authorities alone decide on every visa, and no agency can guarantee one. We are SKY PALACE TOURISM L.L.C, an independent visa support service in Al Mankhool, Dubai. We are not part of the UAE government. Instead, we check your documents, submit your application and keep you updated.

How to apply with us

  1. Fill in the short form on our apply page. No payment is needed to start.
  2. Next, upload a clear passport scan and photo. Our team reviews them and tells you if anything needs fixing.
  3. Choose 30 or 60 days, single or multiple entry, then pay through secure online payment.
  4. Track your status online. Your visa arrives by email, so print it or save it on your phone.

Dubai Fitness Challenge FAQs

Can tourists take part in the Dubai Fitness Challenge?

Yes, the challenge is open to visitors as well as residents. The Fitness Villages, hubs and flagship events are free, but the Ride and the Run need registration.

Should I apply for a 30-day or 60-day visa?

A 30-day visa suits one event or one weekend. For the whole month, from the Ride to the final Yoga session, the 60-day visa gives you a safety margin.

Can I apply now if I fly in late November?

Yes. The visa must be used to enter within 60 days of issue. So applying now still covers 22 or 29 November. Check our FAQs for more on entry dates.

Does a visa guarantee my race place?

No. The visa and the race registration are separate, so you need both. Register for the Run or Ride through the official Dubai Fitness Challenge channels as well.

Pick your Sunday and check your passport. Then sort your Dubai Fitness Challenge visa early, so the only thing left to train is your legs. Start today on our online visa application page.
