Dubai Boat Show 2026: New November Dates, 2 Shows, Easy Visa

Wednesday 25 November. That is the new opening day of the Dubai Boat Show 2026, which was first planned for April. It now runs for five days at Dubai Harbour, from 25 to 29 November. In this guide, our team explains the new dates and the second boat show in Abu Dhabi. We also show the visa timing that fits both.
Here is the short answer. Most visitors need a UAE tourist visa, unless their passport gets visa-free entry or a visa on arrival. One UAE visa covers Dubai and Abu Dhabi, so you do not need two. Apply in the first half of November, because that leaves time for checks without rushing.
What changed for the Dubai Boat Show 2026?
The 32nd Dubai International Boat Show was set for April 2026. In March, the organisers moved it to November. According to YachtBuyer's report on the new November dates, the show now moves to November every year. The organisers said the new timing matches the start of the main boating season in the region.
The venue has not changed. It is still Dubai Harbour, next to Bluewaters and Palm Jumeirah. As of 3 November 2026, the ticket page lists these hours:
- Wednesday 25, Thursday 26 and Sunday 29 November: 3pm to 8pm.
- Friday 27 and Saturday 28 November: 3pm to 9pm.
Tickets start from AED 60. Dubai Harbour has no visitor parking. So plan to arrive by taxi, or use the Metro, tram or monorail with the free shuttles.
Two boat shows, six days apart
November has a second boat show this year. The 8th Abu Dhabi International Boat Show runs from Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 November at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. Gulf News lists both boat shows in its guide to big UAE events this month.
That gap is only two days. So a buyer, a broker or a boating fan can see both shows on one trip.
Travellers often ask us if Abu Dhabi needs its own visa. It does not. A UAE tourist visa is valid in all seven emirates. Also, there is no border check on the road from Abu Dhabi to Dubai. You enter the country once and move freely inside it.
Boat show fortnight: a visa timeline
We built this timeline from the event dates above. It shows what happens each week and what to do about your visa at that point.
| Date | What happens | Visa step |
| Tuesday 3 November | Today | Check if your passport needs a visa at all |
| By Sunday 15 November | Our suggested apply-by date | Submit your application with clear passport and photo copies |
| Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 November | Abu Dhabi International Boat Show, ADNEC | Enter the UAE before this if you want both shows |
| Wednesday 25 to Sunday 29 November | Dubai International Boat Show, Dubai Harbour | Your 30-day stay counts from your entry date |
| Wednesday 2 December | UAE National Day | Choose 60 days if you will stay for December |
Why mid-November? The ICP rules say you must enter within 60 days of the visa being issued. So a visa issued now is still valid on 25 November. Applying early costs you nothing in validity, but it gives you time if a document needs fixing.
Which visa fits a boat show trip?
The right visa depends on how long you stay and whether you leave the UAE during the trip. Here is how we match the three common plans.
One show, a short trip
If you fly in for the Dubai show only, a 30-day single-entry visa is enough. For example, entering on Tuesday 24 November gives you until late December to leave.
Both shows, and maybe National Day
Enter by Wednesday 18 November, then see Abu Dhabi first and Dubai next. A 30-day visa still covers this, because your stay ends in mid-December. However, if you also want the Dubai Shopping Festival from 4 December, a 60-day visa gives you more room.
A side trip out of the UAE
Some visitors fly to another country between the two shows. A single-entry visa ends when you leave. Instead, choose a multiple-entry visa, so you can come back on the same visa.
Not sure which plan you are? Our visa requirements by nationality page is a good first check.
What do boat show visitors get wrong?
Event trips bring the same three mistakes to our desk. Each one is easy to avoid if you know it early.
Treating a ticket or invitation as a visa
A show ticket lets you into Dubai Harbour. It does not let you into the country. A broker's invitation letter or a VIP pass is no different. So you still need a visa if your passport requires one.
Coming to work on a tourist visa
A tourist visa is for visiting the show, meeting sellers and looking at boats. But staffing a stand or working on a yacht is work. In that case, ask your employer or the exhibitor team about the right permit before you travel.
Missing a basic document
The ICP visa issuance conditions list the papers. Your passport needs at least six months of validity. You also need a return ticket and valid health insurance for the UAE. Our team checks these before we submit, because a small gap can delay a file.

Boat show visa questions
When is the Dubai International Boat Show this year?
It runs from Wednesday 25 to Sunday 29 November at Dubai Harbour. The show moved from April, and the organisers say it will stay in November from now on.
Do I need a separate visa for the Abu Dhabi boat show?
No, one UAE tourist visa covers every emirate. You can attend the Abu Dhabi show from 19 to 22 November and the Dubai show on the same visa.
Can I apply for my visa before buying a show ticket?
Yes, the visa and the ticket are separate. Many visitors apply first, then buy tickets once the visa arrives.
What if my flight changes?
Some airlines have changed Gulf schedules this autumn, so confirm your flight with the airline. Your visa does not depend on one flight, but you must still enter within its validity.
