Big 5 Dubai 2026: Best Visa for 4 Show Days, Stress-Free
Big 5 Dubai 2026: Best Visa for 4 Show Days, Stress-Free

Monday 23 November is four weeks away. On that day Big 5 Dubai opens at Dubai World Trade Centre, and it runs until Thursday 26 November. Does your passport need a UAE visa? Then get a visit visa issued before you fly, because a show ticket does not let you enter the country.
The organiser, Big 5 Global, expects more than 65,000 attendees from over 165 countries. The halls fill with engineers, contractors and suppliers, and many of them need a UAE visa to attend. So this guide covers three things. First, the visa that fits your trip. Then the papers to have ready, and finally the week to apply.
Big 5 Dubai 2026 at a glance
Here are the facts that matter for planning, so you can book with confidence. We took them from the organiser's website on 26 October 2026.

You can check the latest details on the official Big 5 Global website. Khaleej Times also listed the show among Dubai's headline November events in its events season preview.
Is a Big 5 ticket the same as a visa?
No. Still, it is an easy mix-up for first-time show visitors.
Your ticket or badge only lets you into the halls, but it does nothing at the border. Entry to the UAE is a separate decision, and UAE immigration authorities make it. So the badge confirmation email will not help you at the airport check-in desk.
Some nationalities can get a visa on arrival or enter without one. Others, however, must hold an approved visa before boarding. Because the rules differ by passport, check your country on our visa requirements by nationality page first.
Which visit visa fits your show trip?
The right choice depends on what you plan to do in Dubai. Most show travellers fall into one of three groups.
You are walking the halls for two or three days
A 30-day single-entry visit visa usually covers this trip well. For example, you fly in on Sunday 22 November, visit the show and fly home that weekend. The extra days also help if a meeting moves.
You will stay on for National Day or a holiday
Many visitors also add a family break after the show. UAE National Day falls on Wednesday 2 December, one week after Big 5 closes. In that case a 60-day visa gives you more room. Also, choose multiple entry if you plan a side trip outside the UAE.
Your company is sending you to work on a stand
Building or staffing a stand can count as work, not a visit. Therefore, ask your employer or the organiser which permit covers your role. Do not assume a tourist visa is enough. If you are unsure, message our team and we will tell you plainly whether we can help.
What papers does ICP ask for?
The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) publishes the conditions. Its visa issuance page lists these points, checked by us on 26 October 2026. Three of them catch show visitors most often.
- Passport valid for at least six months. Count from your arrival date, not from today. Travellers who renew late often find this out too close to the show.
- Health insurance valid in the UAE. ICP lists it for visit visas. Your company policy may not cover travel abroad, so check the wording before you rely on it.
- A return ticket. ICP lists it for most categories. Book a flight you can change, because show schedules often shift by a day.
Also note the time limits. You must enter within 60 days of the issue date. Visit visa extensions are possible, but ICP caps the total stay at 120 days. Overstaying costs AED 50 per day, according to the same page.
When should you apply for Big 5?
Our advice is to apply in the first week of November. That leaves time to fix a blurred passport scan or a missing document, because these are common. It also keeps you clear of the late rush before National Day.
Processing time depends on nationality and on the authorities, so we do not promise a fixed number of days. You can see current estimates on our visa processing times page. If your trip is already close, our express visa service is the faster route.
One tip from our desk: book your flight after the visa is approved, or else choose a fare you can change.

Big 5 visa questions travellers ask
Can I attend Big 5 on a tourist visa?
Visiting the halls as a buyer or guest is a visit, and many travellers use a visit visa for it. However, working on a stand is different, so ask your employer which permit applies.
Can my 19-year-old son come to the show with me?
He can travel to Dubai on his own visit visa, but he cannot enter the halls. The organiser says visitors under 21 are not admitted.
Is there a visa change for November 2026?
Not that we could find. As of 26 October 2026, the ICP and GDRFA Dubai news pages show no new rule for visit visas. We will post an update if that changes.
Where can I find more answers?
Our visa FAQs cover payments, photos and refunds. For anything else, the WhatsApp line is open 24/7.
